In December 2025, the Croydon Giving Tree Appeal successfully collected 1,837 gifts for local children in need, with an estimated value of over £20,070. The initiative, led by Centrale & Whitgift in partnership with Croydon BID and Reedham Children’s Trust, expanded beyond shopping centers for the first time, placing “Giving Trees” in twelve town center venues like the Leonardo Hotel and The Ludoquist Café. Over 70% of the gifts were donated by local businesses and major employers such as Superdrug, Allianz, and London South Bank University. These donations were distributed to community groups like the Legacy Youth Zone and Reaching Higher, ensuring that children in care, those with special educational needs, and families facing extreme poverty received a gift during the holiday season.
